Let's dance and shout "Pit Senyor"

A ritual dance for Sr. Santo Niño that we commonly called "Sinulog". Sinulog is the next celebration after the Christmas and New Years day. The Sinulog Festival is hailed as the most colorful, huge and grandest festivities in the entire nation embedded in deep historical root. The highlight of the event is on the third Sunday of January when the whole City is eager to witness the dance ritual that symbolizes the City as acceptance of Christianity. It is held at the Cebu City Sports Complex. People started to get busy in what is expected to be a dizzying array of colourful celebration as Cebu City heralds the coming of Sinulog Festival. What makes the beauty of Sinulog is different places, provinces are joined together to offer their dance not just winning the prices for the contest but a symbolizes a devotee for Sr. Santo Niño.
The festival runs for nine days ending on the ninth day spectacular street parades with participants from different provinces, schools and other participants in and outside Cebu wearing multi-colored costumes, giant puppets and various beautiful floats. Actors and actresses are also here to witness the event. Every year, Sinulog has been a tourist attraction and become the most anticipated event among Cebuanos and other visitors across the world that come to visit the City and witness one marvelous event. Aside from the enthusiastic street dancing, one of the highlights during Sinulog festival is the awe-inspiring fireworks display illuminating the dark skies above with its colorful and awesome lights. And of course, speaking of "festival" meaning it is an event that should be celebrated with different foods, drinks, dessert and etc.

I remembered when my grandmother and grandfather was still alive, they have no absences in attending the "Sugat ni Sr. Santo Niño" held in Pier I every third week of Saturday morning.
They usually do that just because they want to thank Sr. Santo Niño for all the blessings that they have received and for the good health.

My momentous Interface with Korean

As what our instructor told us that we are going to have interface with Korean students, at first I can’t believe but after half an our of our discussion we then got to where the Korean is. Before we meet the Korean students, I felt mix of emotion. Nervous, excited and a little bit confused on what are we really going to do. I have lots of questions bothering my mind. “Why are they here in our school”, what are their purpose, and are they okay to go with. I know all of these will answer as soon as we meet them.

Then time had come they were 21 Korean students. As I’ve saw them I said, “Wow”.I felt ignorant at that moment. This is it. This is really it. Meeting Korean people is my first time ever! The Korean student that we accompany named Kim Hyu Jo. I asked her some basic questions. The purpose why are they here in our school is to study in English. How proud I am that they chose our school and not the other school. I noticed, as she talks, it seems that she cannot voice out or she is trying hard how to produce words. Then I found out that not all countries are fluent in English. I realized how English is important. No one denies the importance of English language in the present time as global language. It is clear that the English language has become more dominant around the world. In some countries it use as the mother tongue and, other countries learn it as second language in their schools. This is making English widespread. There is no doubt that, the English is language of communication between the people with different cultures. It is quiet clear that English has become an necessity today. We need it in different fields of life. The English language has become easier to learn more than ever before with the availability of many sources to help people learn very easily. There is also one thing that I noticed so much, I taught only Filipinos are trying hard to learn in English but also the Korean, he he. We end up our discussion by saying her thank you and really we enjoyed talking to her.
